Caldwell Declares Candidacy for Georgia State Senate District 21
Michael was raised in Woodstock, Georgia after living around the country. He married his high school sweetheart Katie, and they are the parents of Oliver (Ollie) and Elizabeth (Eliza). Michael, Katie, Ollie, Eliza and their two Great Danes “Liberty” and “Justice” live in downtown Woodstock and are proud to represent Woodstock, Towne Lake and Holly Springs in Georgia’s House of Representatives.
Caldwell is a job creator and the Managing Partner of Black Airplane, which specializes in developing custom software and applications. The company employs 17 full time Georgians in Woodstock. Prior to his ownership at Black Airplane, Michael was part of the founding team at Python Safety which was acquired by Capital Safety and subsequently acquired by 3M in 2015. He authored the most widely adopted drop prevention safety procedure in the world, which currently governs nearly 100,000 workers and spent much of his career traveling the glob speaking on this leading cause of death in the workplace.
Caldwell serves as the Vice Chairman of the Code Revision Committee (tasked with repeal of law) and as a member of the Regulated Industries, Economic Development, Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Interstate Cooperation and State Planning & Community Affairs Committees.
